Attention: Pay special attention to the polarity of the console connector when it is hooked up to the chopper.

CAUTION: HOOKING UP MUST ONLY BE DONE WITH THE MACHINE OFF.

ZAPI controllers all have a serial output that is able to communicate with the external systems, such as personal computers. Designed as an intelligent microprocessor based console, with a LCD display and multi-function keyboard, the handset ZAPI_HHC is developed for monitoring, diagnosing and programming the ZAPI controllers.

Technical details:

  • PROGRAMMING PARAMETERS:
    • maximum current
    • braking
    • acceleration rate
    • creep speed
    • 1st level of speed reduction
    • 2nd level of speed reduction
    • etc.
  • TESTER:  provides a visual display of analogue and numeric measurements within the chopper (battery voltage, motor voltage, motor current, temperature, throttle signal, etc.). 
  • RESTORE: enables a fast digital re-coverage of previously set parameters. This function may be used for reprogramming controllers to obtain the homogenized operating behavior.
  • ALARMS: this function displays visually the last 5 controller faults. 
  • DIMENSIONS: 100 x 190 x 60 mm

Typical wiring method for diagnosing H1 / H2 / H2B / H3 (traction and pump) controllers:

  • Turn Off the power.
  • Connect the mini-console cable 8-Pin connector to controller's connector B. The function of each pin is listed as below:
    • B1: PCLRXD, Serial reception positive
    • B2: NCLRXD, Serial reception negative
    • B3: PCLTXD, Serial transmission positive
    • B4: NCLTXD, Serial transmission negative
    • B5: GND, Console supply negative
    • B6: +12, Console supply positive
    • B7: FUNCTION SELECT, Channel for mini-console (speed signal)
    • B8: UP / DOWN, Channel for mini-console (speed ref.)
  • Connect battery positive (B+) to B+ main terminal and D1 terminal (+CH IN, to be connected to the key); connect battery negative (B-) to B- main terminal.
  • Turn on the power, you will see the mini-console to be activated automatically.
